About the estate
The Gassler winery is a traditional family estate in Hautzendorf in the Weinviertel region with a history in viticulture and agriculture dating back to 1789. Today, the estate is managed by Johannes Gassler together with his parents, Johann and Hedwig. Cultivating around seven hectares of vineyards, the family produces characterful wines such as Weinviertel DAC in harmony with nature and soil diversity. The vineyards are nestled in the hilly landscape around Hautzendorf on deep loess, loam, and sandy soils, as well as shell limestone and gravel banks. In the cellar, the team relies on careful handling of the grapes to preserve the personal signature and individuality of the wines.
