Domaine Villalongue

About the estate

Situated in the heart of the Catalan region and at the foot of the Aspres, the Domaine Villalongue estate looks back on nearly two centuries of family history in viticulture. The vineyards on the edge of the Roussillon plain feature soils composed of a complex mixture of red and yellow clays, pebbles, gravel, and sand. The portfolio includes various white, rosé, and red wines crafted from local grape varieties such as Grenache, Macabeu, Mourvèdre, Syrah, Carignan, and Viognier. Harvesting is carried out entirely by hand in small crates with selective picking, with grapes gathered at night, in the morning, or early in the day depending on the wine style. Vinification takes place in the cellar using stainless steel or concrete tanks according to the specific product.
