Domaine Mont d'Oraas

About the estate

The Domaine Mont d'Oraas estate cultivates six hectares of vineyards in Oraas in southwest France, producing wines under the AOC Béarn and Comté Tolosan IGP denominations. Founded in the early 2000s by Thierry Frontère with the ambition to restore the local terroir's reputation, the winery is today managed by Alexandre Frontère. The vineyard is situated on a hillside facing the Pyrenees on a terroir of pebble terraces and clay. Farming is certified organic, featuring rigorous yield control and manual harvesting at optimal maturity. In the cellar, vinification is carried out by parcel using gravity in small tanks, followed by maturation in 400-liter barrels.
