The Domaine Loew estate was founded in 1996 by Caroline and Etienne Loew in Westhoffen, Alsace, building upon a family history dating back to the 18th century. The vineyards are spread across five distinct villages and feature diverse soils including sandstone, oolitic limestone, Muschelkalk, and gypsum Keuper marl. The estate operates according to certified biodynamic standards from Demeter and Biodyvin, utilizing manual harvesting methods. Each terroir is vinified separately, with spontaneous fermentations that can last from several weeks to multiple years.
