About the estate
Founded in 1836 by Jean-François Goumarre, the Domaine Galevan estate is located in Courthézon in the Rhône Valley and has remained in the family for over 180 years. Today, the estate is managed by Coralie Goumarre representing the ninth generation and marking the first time a woman leads the family business. The vineyard covers 60 hectares in one piece and the entire property is run in organic agriculture. The vines have an average age of 65 years and are spread across the appellations of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Côtes du Rhône Villages, Côtes du Rhône, and Vin de Pays. All major Rhône grape varieties are represented, featuring Grenache, Mourvèdre, Syrah, Cinsault, and Carignan for reds, alongside Clairette, Grenache Blanc, Roussanne, Marsanne, and Bourboulenc for whites.
