About the estate
The Domaine du Météore winery is located in the mountains of Languedoc within the Haut-Languedoc Regional Nature Park. The vineyards grow directly in and around a meteorite crater formed ten thousand years ago on the schist soils of Faugères and Saint Chinian. The estate produces organic wines under the AOC Faugères and AOC Saint Chinian denominations. The vineyard parcels are surrounded by fragrant garrigue featuring thyme, fennel, and rockrose.
