About the estate

The Domaine des Hautes Collines estate is located in Saint-Jeannet in Provence and is run as a family tradition by Georges Rasse and his son Mathias. While the origins of viticulture at this site date back to Roman times, the modern history of the winery began in 1948 when it was established by the father. On limestone and clay-limestone soils at an altitude of around 400 meters, the estate cultivates grape varieties including Merlot, Mourvèdre, Syrah, Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon, Gamay, and Muscat. Farming strictly follows organic agriculture and biodynamic principles. A distinctive feature of the winery is a traditional aging method outdoors in the sun over several years, which imparts unique aromas to the wines.
