About the estate
The Domaine des Grands Rouvres estate is run by Guillaume and Pierre Durdilly, who since 2008 have expanded their family vineyards from the Pierres Dorées region in the southern Beaujolais to include plots in the northern cru region. Their 40- to 70-year-old vines grow on diverse soils including granitic formations and clay-limestone, planted with Gamay for red wines and Chardonnay for white wine. Viticulture relies heavily on manual labor throughout the seasons, culminating in hand harvesting to ensure the selection of healthy and mature grapes. In the cellar, traditional vinification techniques such as whole-bunch fermentation and aging in large oak foudres are employed to develop structure and finesse. Certified as High Environmental Value, the winery produces wines across various appellations including Morgon, Moulin à Vent, Fleurie, Chénas, and Juliénas.

Cette cuvée du millésime précédent est corsée, fine, et longue en bouche, avec un bel équilibre entre les tannins et les arômes de fruit confit.
