About the estate
The Domaine des Escaravailles estate was established in 1953 when Jean-Louis Ferran acquired a derelict farm situated on the heights of Rasteau. Subsequent generations, including Daniel, Jean-Pierre, and later Gilles and Laurence Ferran, developed the property and shaped its distinct winemaking identity. Today, Madeline Ferran represents the fourth generation managing the family winery. The estate produces wines known for their finesse, depth, and fruit-forward character. From the very beginning, the family deliberately chose independence over joining a cooperative cellar.
