About the estate
The Domaine de Rochambeau estate is located in the Loire Valley within the Anjou Saumur region, overlooking the Aubance on steep schist soils. The business was developed by Maurice and Marie Claire Forest starting in April 1985, and since January 2020 the second generation, Corentin and Delphine Forest, has taken over. Growing from seven hectares in 1985 to eighteen hectares today, the vineyards comprise ten hectares of Chenin, five and a half hectares of Cabernet, as well as Grolleau, Gamay, Pinot d’Aunis, and Syrah. The estate has been farmed entirely organically since 1998 out of a conviction to respect nature and consumers by avoiding synthetic products. The three ranges of wines are distributed through direct sales to individuals, wine merchants, restaurants, organic shops, and for export.
The estate sells to retail and horeca.
