About the estate

The Domaine de Montbenay estate in Mont-sur-Rolle traces its origins back to the Middle Ages and is currently managed by Paul de Watteville representing the sixteenth generation alongside his father Maurice. The property cultivates a Biosuisse-certified vineyard featuring eight different grape varieties, including Chasselas, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Syrah. In the cellar, the team relies on a low-intervention winemaking approach with maturation taking place in barriques, terracotta amphorae, and traditional oak casks. The wines are crafted with the objective of authentically preserving the distinctive characteristics of the terroir and each grape variety.
