About the estate

The Domaine de la Sorba estate is situated on the heights of Ajaccio with a family history spanning centuries, and the vineyards were planted in 1972. Spanning 20 hectares in a single plot, the vines grow on ancient granitic sand soils with a southern exposure overlooking the gulf. The estate follows organic farming practices, incorporating careful manual canopy management and hand-harvesting. The grape varieties cultivated include Sciaccarellu, Niellucciu, and Vermentinu, which benefit from a windy local microclimate. Vinification takes place in a modern winery built in 2020 on the property.
