About the estate

The Domaine de la Gauterie estate is located in the Anjou region within the Loire Valley and manages a compact 22-hectare vineyard planted on gravelly sandy soils. The estate cultivates seven grape varieties, comprising Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Gamay, Grolleau, and Merlot for reds, alongside Chardonnay and Chenin Blanc for whites. Annual production reaches approximately 1200 hectoliters, spanning several appellations such as AOC Anjou, AOC Bonnezeaux, and AOC Crémant de Loire. Vineyard management incorporates cover cropping, mechanical soil cultivation, and targeted treatments to protect the environment. Since the 2019 harvest, the estate holds the High Environmental Value certification.
