About the estate

The Domaine de la Bateliere estate looks back on 140 years of family tradition and is located in Saint Maximin at the foot of the Sainte-Baume mountain in Provence. The vineyards sit at an altitude of 300 meters and benefit from a contrasting climate characterized by cool nights. The grape variety portfolio includes typical Mediterranean varietals such as Grenache, Syrah, Cinsaut, Rolle, Clairette, and Cabernet-Sauvignon. Since the nineteen-nineties, the estate has practiced cover cropping between the rows to care for the soils and stimulate biological activity. Harvesting is carried out mechanically in the early morning hours, followed immediately by vinification in the property's own winery.
