About the estate
The Domaine de l'Évêché estate is located in the heart of the Côte Chalonnaise and is managed by the Joussier family in the fourth generation. The history of the winery began in 1930 when Robert Joussier started acquiring vineyards. Today, the estate features vineyards with stony soils and ideal exposure distributed across Mercurey and the Côte Chalonnaise. The winery applies sustainable viticulture, manual labor, and plot-by-plot harvesting methods. Wines of the AOC Mercurey denomination are produced through parcel-specific vinification and aging in barrels and temperature-controlled vats.
