About the estate
Founded in 2015 by Stephan Buffille, the Domaine de l'Anchois estate is located in Châteauneuf-les-Martigues in the Rhône Valley and spans 7.5 hectares of vineyards. The vines grow on sandy clay soils near the Étang de Bolmon, benefiting directly from maritime spray. The winery is farmed entirely biodynamically and focuses on ancient grape varieties such as Œillade Musquée, Savagnin, Muscat Romain, Plan des Cévennes, Sciacarello, Albert Seibel, and Sauvignon. Natural, terroir-driven wines are crafted in the estate's own cellar under the Méditerranée IGP designation. In addition to viticulture, the property also includes five hectares of olive trees.
The estate sells to horeca and retail.
