About the estate
The Domaine d'Arton estate was founded in 1978 by Patrick de Montal and Victoire de Montesquiou on the plateau of Lectoure in the heart of Gascony. Covering 88 hectares of vineyards with rich clay-limestone soils, the estate cultivates eight grape varieties including Ugni Blanc, Colombard, Gros Manseng, Petit Manseng, Sauvignon, Syrah, Merlot, and Cabernet. Farming practices follow the principles of permaculture and biodynamics, and the property holds certification for organic agriculture. The wines and Armagnacs produced under the Haut-Armagnac and Côtes de Gascogne appellations reflect the geological diversity of this historic terroir.
