About the estate

The Domaine Bois de Devès estate was founded in 2020 by Nicholas Smith, who transitioned into the wine industry following a career as a musician and four years of experience in the Loire Valley. The winery is located in Castelnau-d'Estrétefonds in southwest France within the AOC Fronton denomination. Across a vineyard area of ten hectares, the winemaker cultivates old vines with a focus on environmental considerations. The surrounding oak forests and agroforestry practices support nature- and terroir-conscious methods in the vineyard. The estate's wines combine traditional and modern approaches.
