About the estate
The family-owned Domaine Bid'Gi estate looks back on a history of over 100 years in La Haye-Fouassière in the Loire Valley and has been managed by Sarah and Charly Bideau since 2023. Spanning 52 hectares of vineyards cultivated sustainably through Terra Vitis and organic farming, the vines grow on soils composed of orthogneiss, amphibolite, and mica schist. The winery's portfolio features wines from the AOC Gros Plant du Pays Nantais, AOC Muscadet, AOC Muscadet Coteaux de la Loire Champtoceaux, AOC Muscadet Sèvre-et-Maine, AOC Muscadet Sèvre et Maine sur Lie, and Val de Loire IGP denominations. The winemakers' philosophy focuses on terroir expression, parcel selection, and elevating Muscadet Sèvre et Maine sur Lie through cru and vintage wines. Future goals include transitioning fully to organic viticulture, increasing horse-drawn soil cultivation, and strengthening ecological commitment within the region.
