About the estate
The Cordella estate is situated on the southeastern slopes of the hills of Montalcino in Tuscany and traces its history back to 1972 when Orlando Cordella acquired the Tenuta di Triboli. In 1998, Maddalena Cordella took over the management of the property, expanding the vineyards to approximately 60 hectares located at an elevation of around 350 meters above sea level. The soils consist of Pliocene clay and sand sediments, providing the ideal terroir for cultivating Sangiovese Grosso to produce wines such as Brunello di Montalcino and Rosso di Montalcino. The vineyards are farmed organically, with all vineyard management tasks and the harvest conducted entirely by hand. In addition to wine, the operation produces olive oil, grappa, and estate-grown grains.
The eno directory lists 4 wines, mostly from Sangiovese.
