The Cooperativa Vitivinícola Virgen de Palomares was founded in 1957 as an agricultural society in the municipality of Trebujena and currently consists of approximately 580 active members, primarily small-scale winegrowers. The estate manages a vineyard area of 560 hectares located between Trebujena and Lebrija, processing around 6.5 million kilograms of grapes annually. This yields an average annual production of approximately 5 million liters of must, equivalent to about 10,000 casks. The wines and products fall under the designations of Jerez-Xérès-Sherry DO, Jerez-Xérès-Sherry y Manzanilla de Sanlúcar de Barrameda, Manzanilla de Sanlúcar de Barrameda, and Vinagre de Jerez. In 2017, the cooperative joined the larger agricultural group DCOOP.
