About the estate
The family-run Hotel Cider & Squash, operated by Mikhail and Vera in Batocina within the Šumadija region, produces craft cider following authentic Normandy traditions. In 2015, authentic cider apple varieties from Normandy were planted on the property, which were later complemented by local apple varieties, elderflower syrup, and chokeberries. The production process intentionally avoids filtration, pasteurization, and sulfur dioxide, relying instead on cold aging in champagne-style bottles. In addition to cider, the estate also produces wine from grapes grown on its own land.
