About the estate
The Chateau Valmont estate was founded in 2015 by the young generation of the Famille Ruhlmann-Schutz family in Peyriac-de-Mer, Languedoc. The property currently encompasses 28 hectares of vineyards in the maritime Corbières region, which are currently undergoing conversion to organic farming. The soils are predominantly composed of clay and limestone, where the grape varieties Carignan, Syrah, Grenache Noir, and Mourvèdre are cultivated. Vinification takes place in a modern, semi-subterranean cellar designed to utilize gravity for gentle processing. The portfolio features red wines and a rosé wine, including the AOC Corbières and IGP Pays d'Oc denominations.
