About the estate
The Chateau Bel Eveque estate is situated on a peninsula in Gruissan in southern France and looks back on a history as a former property of the bishops of Narbonne. In 1986, Pierre Richard discovered the property and acquired it shortly afterwards to embark on winemaking. The estate covers 50 hectares in a natural environment shaped by a Mediterranean climate and a geological diversity of limestone, clay, and marl. Traditional grape varieties such as Grenache, Mourvèdre, Syrah, and Carignan are cultivated, alongside other varieties for red, rosé, and white wines. Managed according to sustainable agriculture principles, vineyard work and harvesting are carried out by hand.
