About the estate
The Château La Villatade estate is situated on the western edge of Languedoc, in the foothills of the Black Mountains near Carcassonne. The property features an Occitan residence dating back to the mid-17th century, surrounded by roughly 16 hectares of vineyards and unspoiled natural landscape. Since 2016, the estate has been managed by Richard and Sophie, who place a strong emphasis on environmentally responsible farming certified at the HVE3 level. The vineyards are planted with grape varieties including Syrah, Grenache, Merlot, and Vermentino. These yield distinctive wines within the Minervois, Languedoc, and IGP Pays d'Oc appellations.
