About the estate
The Château La Tour de Mons is a historic estate founded in 1098 within the Margaux appellation, covering a contiguous vineyard area of 58 hectares. The soils consist of Garonne gravel, clay, and limestone, planted with 61 percent Merlot, 33 percent Cabernet Sauvignon, and three percent each of Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. Following manual harvesting and plot-by-plot selection in stainless steel vats, the wine undergoes aging for twelve months in French oak barrels. The winery is currently managed by Marjolaine Maurice de Coninck, with the Perrodo family acting as the owners. Sustainable vineyard management practices are implemented to preserve the ecological balance of the terroir.
