About the estate

The Domaine de l'Ile Margaux winery is located in Margaux within the Bordeaux wine region and looks back on a history that dates back to the twelfth century. The origins of the estate are closely linked to the AOC Margaux, where the property spans a total area of 265 hectares. The terroir is characterised by tertiary formations as well as quaternary deposits of gravel, sand and clay from the terraces of the Garonne. These geological conditions enable an optimal drainage system and a natural regulation of the water supply for the vineyard areas. The portfolio of the estate includes five wines in the directory.
