About the estate
Château Siran has been managed by the same family in the sixth generation since 1859 and is directed by Édouard Miailhe. The estate comprises a total vineyard area of 38 hectares, with 25 hectares in a single block located in the Margaux appellation, supplemented by plots in Haut-Médoc and Bordeaux Supérieur. The 37 parcels feature gravelly-sandy soils on a plateau of fine siliceous gravel and are planted with Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, and Cabernet Franc. Farming practices follow sustainable methods with trials in organic viticulture, rigorous hand harvesting, and minimal use of inputs. The resulting wines are noted for their elegance, balance, red fruit aromas, and soft tannins.
