Chateau Haut-Goujon

About the estate

The Chateau Haut-Goujon estate features clay-sandy and clay-sandy-gravelly soils in Montagne Saint-Émilion and Lalande de Pomerol. To preserve the environment and promote vineyard biodiversity, the winery utilizes mechanical weed control, cover crops, and reduced phytosanitary treatments, earning HVE3 environmental certification in 2011. Grapes are harvested predominantly by hand to ensure quality and allow for initial sorting before vinification takes place without the addition of sulfites. A portion of the production is aged in new French oak barrels for twelve months to enhance structure and complexity. Welcoming visitors to the property is a family tradition, supported since 2016 by a dedicated reception hall used for cultural events and seminars.
