About the estate
The Château Famaey estate is located in Puy l'Évêque in South-West France and was founded in the early 2000s by Luc Luyckx and his partner Marc Van Antwerpen. Since 2007, the founder's son Maarten Luyckx has been in charge of vinification at the family-run winery. The vineyard covers 20 hectares situated on the terraces of the Lot Valley, benefiting from a terroir of clay and gravel. The estate has been certified as Haute Valeur Environnementale level 3 since 2019, focusing on natural farming methods and selective manual harvesting. Its wine production spans the AOC Cahors and Côtes du Lot IGP denominations.

Un mélange sublime de fruits noirs mûrs, de fleurs rouges fraîches et de chêne légèrement épicé, allié à des tanins soyeux et brillants, une texture fabuleusement onctueuse et une acidité d'une grande finesse.
