About the estate

Château du Bois-Huaut is a historical wine estate in the heart of the Loire wine region, managed by the Duret family for five generations, where all grapes have been harvested by hand since 1897. Spanning 24 hectares across the three communes of Gorges, Mouzillon, and Clisson, the vineyards feature diverse soils including clay, flint, granite, schist, and gabbro, upon which 14 different grape varieties are cultivated. The production includes white, rosé, red, and sparkling wines ranging in style from dry to sweet. Vinification takes place in modern cellars equipped with pneumatic pressing and temperature control following sustainable vineyard management. The wines are distributed directly from the estate as well as delivered to customers across western France.

The eno directory lists 20 wines, mostly from Melon de Bourgogne and Sauvignon Gris.
