About the estate

The Château de Vinzel estate is located in the canton of Vaud and traces its origins back to the 17th century. Spanning 8.4 hectares of vineyards, the property features steep, perfectly oriented slopes with soils of gravel, clay, and limestone. The primary grape variety cultivated is Chasselas, alongside a plot of Merlot as a regional pioneer. Under the management of Fabien Monachon, representing the fourth generation, and winemaker Thierry Ciampi, the wines are aged in partially centuries-old wooden vessels in the cellar. The estate is distinguished by its longstanding connection between winemaking and a cultural appreciation for literature.
