Château de Buffavent

About the estate

The Château de Buffavent manages 18 hectares of vineyards in the heart of Beaujolais, with origins dating back to 1539. On the clay-limestone soils of the unique Pierres Dorées terroir, the grape varieties Gamay, Chardonnay, Viognier, and Pinot thrive in vineyards ranging from 15 to 80 years of age. Viticulture follows reasoned pest management principles, backed by HVE level 3 certification. The grapes are harvested by hand at full maturity and carefully sorted before the wines are crafted and aged in a traditional manner. The estate produces AOC wines with a distinct personality and superb fruity generosity.
