About the estate
The Chateau d'Uxelles estate has been managed by Alfred de La Chapelle since 1984, who planted the first vines on hillside plots in 1990 together with his wife Valérie. The vineyard is located in the north of the Mâconnais region at the border of the Côte Chalonnaise, producing wines from grape varieties such as Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Gamay, and Aligoté. Farming practices include sustainable agriculture with soil cultivation and Guyot-Poussard pruning, while the harvest for Crémants is conducted strictly by hand. Vinification and ageing of the cuvées take place in the estate's cellar using stainless steel vats and oak barrels.
The eno directory lists 5 wines, mostly from Chardonnay and Gamay.
