Chateau d'Orsan

About the estate

Situated in the Gard department on the right bank of the Rhône, the Chateau d'Orsan estate has been producing wine since the 14th century. Since 2010, Céline and Nicolas have directed the family-run property, following earlier involvement by Françoise and Philippe Verdier alongside winemaker and oenologist Nicolas Rieu. Vineyard management follows responsible and environmentally conscious practices, supported by certifications such as Haute Valeur Environnementale and Terra Vitis. The vines, cultivated in gobelet style on stony soils, are harvested and vinified separately by terroir and grape variety. Most vineyard tasks, including hand-harvesting at optimal maturity, are performed manually to preserve the integrity of the grapes.
