About the estate

The Chateau Bertinerie / Haut Bertinerie estate is a traditional family-run property that has remained in the same family for almost two centuries and now covers a vineyard area of around 80 hectares. The vineyards consist of various plots featuring clay-limestone soils, clay and silica, and limestone formations located between Cubnezais, Cézac and Cavignac. The grape varieties cultivated include red varieties such as Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Malbec, alongside Sauvignon blanc for white wines. Under family management, the entire vineyard was progressively converted to the innovative Lyra training system starting in 1987 to enhance grape maturity and wine complexity. The estate distributes its wines directly at the property, to high-class restaurants and retailers in France, and exports to several countries.
