About the estate
The historical Château Abelanet in Fitou has been owned by the Abelanet family since 1697 and is managed across generations. Spanning 16 hectares of vineyards, the estate cultivates traditional grape varieties such as Carignan, Grenache, and Syrah on diverse soils including schist, clay-limestone, and quaternary moraine. Alongside its primary focus on AOC Fitou, the portfolio includes Muscat de Rivesaltes and IGP wines. Harvesting is carefully planned according to optimal maturity and acidity levels, often conducted during cooler hours to preserve fruit integrity. Bottling has taken place directly at the estate for decades.
The eno directory lists 4 wines, mostly from Carignan and Grenache.
