About the estate
The Champagne house Champagne Veuve Fourny et Fils specializes in the vineyards of Vertus Premier Cru, cultivating sites defined by distinctive limestone and chalk soils. The vineyards benefit from an advanced average vine age, largely originating from mass selection practices established in the 1930s. Soil management involves the application of compost, ploughing, and grass cover to preserve the natural environment. Hand harvesting and separate vinification of grapes from approximately forty distinct plots allow the estate to capture the diverse expressions of the local terroir. The portfolio also features rare offerings such as the single-parcel cuvée Clos Notre Dame, produced from a family monopoly located in the heart of Vertus.
The eno directory lists 2 wines, mostly from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
