Champagne Oudart-Ortillon

About the estate

The Champagne Oudart-Ortillon estate has its roots in Bassuet in the heart of the Coteaux Vitryats, where Serge and Lydia Ortillon-Beaulieu previously cultivated vines. In 2001, their daughter Nathalie and her husband Jean-Christophe Oudart took over the family enterprise and have since conducted all production steps from harvest to aging directly on site. The vineyards extend across several communes and are predominantly planted with Chardonnay, along with Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. The vines grow on chalky soils that impart a mineral freshness and purity to the champagnes. Vinification follows traditional methods in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, followed by bottle fermentation and aging on the lees in the estate's cellars.
