About the estate

The Champagne Francois Chaumont estate was founded in 1994 in Puisieulx and manages a vineyard area of five hectares. As a first-generation winegrower, the owner farms an ancestral vineyard located at the northern edge of the Champagne region, which holds Grand Cru status. The specific ampelographic mix consists of one-third Chardonnay and two-thirds Pinot Noir, thriving on highly calcareous soils with a chalky subsoil. The vineyards are cultivated according to certified sustainable farming principles, featuring mechanical soil management and no chemical weedkillers. Vinification takes place in modern facilities in Œuilly, where the grapes are crafted into various Champagne cuvées.
