About the estate

The Chai Pierre et Bertrand Couly estate farms 23 hectares of vineyards in the Chinon appellation, with a long winemaking lineage rooted in the village of Saint-Louans. The family cultivates Cabernet franc for red and rosé wines and Chenin for white wines, drawing on a diverse range of soils including limestone, sand, and clay-limestone. To preserve the expression of each terroir, individual parcels are vinified separately in stainless steel tanks using native yeasts and without oak barrels. Maturation takes place patiently in the bottle, backed by sustainable vineyard practices focused on biodiversity and agroecology.
