Celler Cecilio

About the estate

The Celler Cecilio winery based in Gratallops within the Priorat DOQ denomination was founded in 1942, producing its first wine in the same year. Cecilio Vicent was the first producer to register his cellar with the Regulatory Council of the Denominació d’Origen Priorat, establishing the estate as the very first registered winery in the designation. Official registration took place in the summer of 1954 following the publication of the initial regulations. The vineyards are characterized by llicorella, a fragile, dark, and sun-glinting slate that covers the landscape of the estates.
