About the estate
The Caves Vilarnau estate is a small and avant-garde artisanal cava winery located near Barcelona in the Penedès region. The history of the noble Vilarnau family dates back to the twelfth century, when vineyards were already cultivated on the lands of the estate. The first cava bearing the Vilarnau label was commercialized in 1949 by the owning family, marking the beginning of modern distribution. In 1982, the winery became part of the González Byass group and opened its current modern facility, designed by architect Luis González, in the center of the estate in 2005. The production is dedicated to the Cava DO denomination, adhering to demanding quality standards and attention to detail.
