About the estate
The Cave du Signal estate was built in 1954 by the Cruchon family in Echichens in Vaud and was taken over by Lionel Widmer in 2017. Across a vineyard area of two hectares distributed over three plots, the grape varieties Chasselas, Gamaret, Garanoir, Pinot noir and recently planted Grenache are cultivated. The winery operates according to organic and biodynamic methods with certifications from Bio Suisse and Demeter. Cultivation is carried out with high plant density, reduced mechanization, and manual canopy and harvest management. The wines are marketed under the AOC La Côte and AOC Vaud denominations.
