About the estate
The family-run Cantina Magiro estate in Gorduno, Ticino, cultivates around four hectares of vineyards across eight municipalities in the Bellinzona district. Founded in 1985 with a small plot of Merlot, the estate gradually expanded its cultivated area and was recognized as an agricultural enterprise in 1999. Approximately 6,000 bottles are vinified annually, with the remainder of the production sold to larger wineries. The vineyards are farmed according to integrated production guidelines without the use of herbicides. The winemaking process involves hand harvesting, pressing in stainless steel, and aging in Swiss oak barrels and stainless steel tanks.
The eno directory lists 13 wines, mostly from Merlot and Gamaret.
