About the estate
The Cantina Baldetti estate has deep roots in viticulture, which received a major boost in the late 1960s under Mario Baldetti and transitioned to bottled wine in the early 1970s. From the year 2000 onward, coinciding with the establishment of the Cortona DOC, the family-run winery renewed its vineyards with a strong focus on the Syrah grape variety. In 2012, a new winery facility was completed in Località Pietraia by Alfonso Baldetti alongside his sons Daniele and Gian Luca. The estate emphasizes quality throughout the entire production chain, from the vineyard to the cellar, and utilizes certified integrated pest management techniques in agriculture.
The eno directory lists 2 wines, mostly from Chardonnay and Grechetto. The estate sells to retail.
