About the estate
The Ca' Verde winery was established in 1972 in Almenno San Salvatore in Lombardy. The estate cultivates a one-hectare vineyard located on the southern slope of a hill at the entrance to the Imagna Valley at an altitude of 400 meters. It grows the red grape varieties Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, which are used to produce wines of the Valcalepio DOC and Bergamasca IGT denominations. The steeper sections of the vineyard, characterized by the limestone-free soil of the Selcifero lombardo, are terraced. Training is conducted using the spur-pruned cordon system to maintain a low yield per plant.
