Cantina Sociale Bergamasca

About the estate

The Cantina Sociale Bergamasca was established in 1957 and began production in 1960. The 52 members collectively cultivate a vineyard area of 200 hectares across the appellations of Valcalepio DOC, Terre del Colleoni DOC, and Bergamasca IGT. The hilly vineyards feature limestone-clay soils and a south to southeast exposure. Cultivated grape varieties include Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Pinot Bianco, Pinot Grigio, and Moscato di Scanzo, among others. Operating as a major producer, the estate vinifies and bottles its wines to serve various markets.
