About the estate
The Butterlin Jean estate cultivates eight hectares of vineyards spread across some forty plots in five different municipalities in Wettolsheim. The portfolio includes wines from the AOC Alsace denomination, Grands Crus such as Steingrubler and Hengst, and Crémant d'Alsace. Viticulture follows sustainable farming rules, and the estate has been HVE certified since 2019. All grapes are harvested exclusively by hand with the help of a team of seasonal workers. Yields range between 45 and 60 hectoliters per hectare depending on the soil and grape variety.
