The Bodegas y Viñedos Mengoba, S.L. estate in the Bierzo DO denomination is led by the Bordeaux-trained winemaker Grégory Pérez. The vineyards located in the village of Espanillo sit on steep slopes at an altitude of over 600 meters and feature slate and clay soils. The estate's philosophy focuses on respect and sustainability in order to produce natural wines with a distinct terroir character. The winery facility in San Juan de Carracedo is equipped with stainless steel vats as well as French oak barrels and large wooden casks for the aging of white and red wines.
